The implementation of the technology deployed in Addis Ababa City Courts was evaluated.
The President of the Court of Appeal, Honorable Ato Tesfaye Melese and Honorable Vice President, Mrs. Fraol Tolesa, welcomed the leaders of the Innovation and Technology Bureau, Ato Nebiu Fikadu, Ato Dagniachew Feleke and the project coordinators, and reviewed and discussed the implementation of the technology infrastructure.
The SD_WAN NEWORK network was designed to connect the Internet and district network services of the institutions in the building where the Court of Appeal is located, as well as the first instance court's divisional courts, to the center for managing technological operations. However, due to the lack of bandwidth from the telecom and the limited G-PON line, it is said that a quick response is needed to address the gaps in the queuing and signage management of the divisional courts from the center by talking to Ethio Telecom's partners.
Regarding system development and website, although the necessary development work has been started by the Innovation and Technology Development Bureau regarding the system development, it was said that if the systems that are not developed with other institutions are developed in the federal and Sheger City, during the consultation, the systems that are not developed should be implemented by taking observations and experiences from the leaders and experts of the court and the Innovation Bureau together.
Finally, the court presidents expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided to the courts, noting that the current system is prone to failures due to the large number of cases and the fact that information is requested from the parties at various times, and that efficient service is not being provided with the help of technology, and that the courts have a great desire to create a paperless system and satisfy the user community. They also emphasized the importance of creating awareness and transferring knowledge to the courts for the leaders and experts of the ISU.
